Mrs. Jennifer Simpson

 

I grew up in Palestine, Texas and moved to Downsville, Louisiana my senior year of high school.  I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude.  I taught 4^th and 5^th grades at River Oaks School in Louisiana, 2^nd grade at Canyon Creek Christian Academy in Richardson, Texas and 1st grade at Greenville Christian School.   I strongly believe that learning should be fun, and I strive to make that true in my class.  

 

I have been married to my husband, Joe, for 13 years.  We live in our home in Josephine, Texas.  I am a mother to a daughter and twin boys.  We have a tank full of fish, five cats, and a guinea pig.  My life has been blessed with a beautiful family and a wonderful career. 

 

I love to read, write, and scrapbook.  My favorite book is Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech.  You should read it sometime!  I love to spend time with my family and work with the kids at church.  I love VBS and church camp!

 

 

 

Miss Katie Moore

I have lived in Greenville my whole life. I love it here. The small town feel and community is home to me. I have a very close-knit family and we spend as much time as possible together. I have two cats and a dog named Bailey. I enjoy reading as much as I can and love to spend time outside. I love to watch football and root for the GCS Eagles as much as I can! I currently coach the junior high cheerleaders.

I absolutely love being a teacher! Since I was a little girl, I wanted to be a teacher and felt the Lord call me in that direction. I am a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Early Childhood Education. I have taught PreK, 1st grade, 8th grade and P.E. I have taught 5th grade at GCS since 2007. I believe in hands-on activities and sensory learning. I like to say that we "hang out" in my classroom while we learn about the world God has created.
